Toastmaster's Club is part of Toastmaster's International, a nonprofit
organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills
through a worldwide network of clubs. We are a Harvard University and
Cambridge Community club that meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the
month, 12:30-1:30 at 124 Mt Auburn St. Staff, affiliates, students,
faculty members, and community members are welcome. Each meeting is
run in the same 60 minute format, with a variety of speaking roles.
These roles include facilitating the meeting, giving a prepared
speech, practicing impromptu speaking, evaluating a speech and more.
Regardless of your experience, the club provides a supportive and fun
environment to practice and hone communication and leadership skills.
Interested in learning more? Come to our next meeting. Guests should
feel free to attend a few meetings to observe the format, understand
the structure, and get an idea of how Toastmasters works. The level of
involvement in each meeting is entirely dependent upon each member.
But remember, the more engaged you are, the more practice and
confidence you will have!
