Event Description:
Against the background of lasting, structural imbalances, trade has
become contentious, also across the Atlantic. Berend Diekmann and
Hans-Helmut Kotz will examine the main conflicts in EU-U.S. trade
relations. They have been simmering for a while but came to the fore
only over the last couple of years. Focusing on underlying reasons for
these tensions, options for cooperative solutions will be assessed. A
light lunch will be served at 12 p.m.
